Profile
Dr.-Ing. Stefan Breunig
Stefan is a strategy executive and entrepreneur based in Munich with more than a decade of experience in consulting, market analysis, financial modelling, business development and M&A in aerospace.
He began his industry career at Siemens as part of the eAircraft team that pioneered electric propulsion for aircraft in close collaboration with Airbus. He set up the unit’s technology and innovation management and played a key role in its carve-out and sale to Rolls-Royce.
At Rolls-Royce Electrical he built and led the strategy function, including market intelligence, and later served as Head of Strategy & Products for Advanced Air Mobility. His remit covered market and product strategy, M&A and corporate venturing, partner assessments and investment decisions presented at CEO and Board level.
He co-founded ALBATROSS, which develops regional airports into energy, mobility and logistics hubs, and is a mentor at the Future Aero Lab. He holds a doctorate in innovation management from RWTH Aachen University, where he led consulting projects for industry and initiated a research exchange with MIT.
